September 21 is the International Day of Peace as designated by the 192 member states of the United Nations. As co-chairs of the Peace Education Center (PEC) of Greater Lansing, Melissa Osborn and I were guest speakers at the annual meeting of the Greater Lansing United Nations Association (GLUNA) where we were asked to talk about this special day. The YouTube videos of our speeches are below. I spoke first in reflecting on the PEC's upcoming 40-year anniversary and Melissa followed with a talk on "Looking Ahead: The Global Search for Peace."
